Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced Power BI and Tabular Model Developer to join the team of our Swedish client from automotive industry, that develops BI solutions primarily on the Microsoft BI stack. This person will help drive our BI capabilities, with a focus on tabular modelling and report development using PowerBI. As our business embraces the cloud, there will be increasing opportunities for this role to evolve and incorporate a broader skill set that includes data warehousing using Snowflake and ETL processes using Matillion.

What will be your responsibilities?

The developer will work primarily with financial and sales data relating to automotive products. This data includes a range of metrics from unit sales and revenue figures to cost structures, regional distribution, customer demographics and sales trends over time. The data also includes specific attributes and variations for each product category.

You will be part of a BI group of around 60 people and will work with commercial areas such as sales, marketing, finance and aftermarket. You will interact with business users of the applications within the commercial domain as well as internally. 

There are many opportunities for you to develop in the BI area. You will be working in the same area as data lake, advanced analytics and information management. You will create reports and dashboards from various data sources.

You might be the perfect match if you are/have:

• 3+ years of professional experience in data preparation, data gateway and data warehousing projects;
• Proficient in the entire Power BI development process, from requirements gathering to report deployment;
• 1+ years of exposure to cloud solutions, with a focus on AWS/Snowflake (pref. Matillion);
  
• Exstensive experience with writing DAX language and tabular models;
• Familiarity with SQL programming and adeptness with relational database operations;
• Deep understanding of dimensional modelling as well as the practices of data retrieval and storage;
• Proficiency in high-code and low-code ETL environments;
• Basic knowledge of GIT operations, including code branching and pushing/pulling code through TFS & GIT;
• Communication is one of your key strengths.
• Fluent in English for smooth collaboration;
• Located in Poland to facilitate signing of cooperation offer and occasional team meetings.

Moreover, we appreciate skills in these areas:

• You have experience from working with sales and/or financial data;
• Experience and enjoyment of agile methods and DevOps to deliver value continuously;
• Academic degree in computer science or equivalent.
